SQL Instance running on different port

Go to SQL Server Client Network Utility , Check Alias
There should be an alias for second Instance with protocol TCP/IP and "Dynamically determine port" should be Unchecked.
Mention Server name : DBServer\Instance 


That will make the connectivity
